LWD | Curtain Closing

My friends were kind enough to actually arrange a lunch-gathering/farewell get-together for me on my last working day, which was formally dated to 31-DEC-2010.

However, due to the great accomplishment of the national football team in winning the AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 in Jakarta on Wednesday night, 29th December, the Prime Minister has announced to make 31st December as a national holiday.

On any other day, I really have nothing against holidays.

In fact, I crave for holidays to be given on a silver platter.

But, when that holiday comes at an unfortunately ill-timed (for me anyway) period, causing my final shred of test executions to go haywire as it was overlapping with my exit procedures, I think I'm entitled to be a bit irritated.

Back to the topic title, since Friday was now to be declared an official holiday, I was thinking that it was no longer necessary nor was it convenient to hold the luncheon.

However, one little chipmunk mastermind was going to throw a ruckus if I really went forward with my thinking. And I love you for stopping me in my tracks, Theodore ^_^

For all of my precious friends who came -- thank you very much for taking a little bit of time out from your busy schedules and/or lazying day option, to spend some time together.

Words are inadequate to describe however it is I felt, truly.

I'll remember this day for a long time to come with a smile on my face.

I wish for nothing but the best for everyone & I love you all to bits!
